# Workspaces and roles

> Teams, members, and permissions

## What is a workspace?

A **workspace** (team) is the container for all shared data in Nudgen: contacts, campaigns, brand configs, signatures, and billing. Each workspace has its own subscription and usage limits. Your account can belong to multiple workspaces; you switch between them with the **team switcher** in the sidebar.

## Roles and permissions

| Role | Capabilities |
| ---------- | ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ |
| **Owner** | Full access. Manages billing, team, and workspace settings. Cannot be removed; can transfer ownership. |
| **Admin** | Invite and manage members, edit campaigns, contacts, and brand. No billing access. |
| **Member** | Create and edit campaigns, upload contacts, use brand configs and signatures. Can view the team list but not invite or change roles. |

Only owners and admins can invite new members or change roles. Billing (upgrade, payment method, portal) is restricted to owners.

## Invitations

Admins and owners send **invitations** by email. The invitee receives a link to accept and join the workspace. Invitations can be pending, accepted, expired, or cancelled. Resend from **Settings** → **Team** if needed.

## Active workspace

The workspace shown in the sidebar header is your **active** workspace. All pages (Dashboard, Contacts, Campaigns, Brand, Billing, Settings) show data for that workspace. Switch workspace to work in a different team; your profile (name, email, avatar) stays the same across workspaces.
