Setup in a heartbeat

Nudgen is built for shop owners and growing SMEs who want to boost customer lifetime value with AI-powered retention email automation. You’ll sign up, upload your contact list, set your brand tone, and launch your first campaign with automated follow-up. No credit card required.

Before you start

  • A CSV file with at least one contact (email required, name optional)
  • About 5 minutes
New accounts get a trial with limited contacts and emails—enough to run your first campaign. Exact limits depend on your plan; see Billing or the live pricing page for current numbers.
Prerequisites for sending: You need at least one active contact, at least one brand config, and at least one email signature. The app will prompt you if any are missing.

Step 1: Sign up

  1. Go to nudgen.net.
  2. Click Start Free Trial or Sign in.
  3. Sign in with Google. You’re synced to the app and redirected to the Dashboard.

Step 2: Upload your first contacts

  1. In the sidebar, open Contacts.
  2. Click Upload CSV (or add a single contact if you prefer).
  3. Upload a CSV with an email column (and optionally name). Add tags if you want (e.g. trial, inactive).
  4. Confirm. Contacts are encrypted and stored. You’ll see masked emails until you reveal them.

CSV format

Column names, validation rules, and size limits are in the upload guide.

Step 3: Configure brand settings and signature

  1. Go to Brand in the sidebar. Create or pick a brand tone config: choose a preset tone (e.g. Friendly, Professional) and optionally add a custom prompt. Save.
  2. Go to SettingsBrand and set your brand name, reply-to email, and default language. Upload your logo.
  3. Go to SettingsSignatures. Create at least one signature; you’ll attach it when creating a campaign.
These steps ensure the campaign wizard can generate on-brand copy, use the correct sender info, and append a signature to every send.

Step 4: Create your campaign (the 3-step process)

The Nudgen campaign flow is designed to be simple and explicit:
  1. Choose the customer group: Choose campaign type (one-time or drip). Select your audience: all contacts, by tags, or manual selection. Pick your brand config and signature, then enter a goal. Check the reach estimate before moving on.
  2. Review the AI draft: Click Generate. AI creates a personalized subject and body draft based on your goal and brand voice. Edit if needed, use Desktop / Mobile preview, and Send test to check the layout.
  3. Let the automation do the rest: Review the summary. For drip campaigns, set stop rules (e.g. auto-stop after purchase or click) so the automation stays helpful instead of noisy. Choose Send now or Schedule, then confirm.

Step 5: Check the dashboard

After launching, the Dashboard shows clear reporting so you know which journeys are driving growth. You can track sent, delivered, opens, clicks, and CTR, plus recipient-level activity.

What happens next

  • Everything stays on-brand: AI drafts are consistent with your tone, and you stay in control with previews and edits.
  • Auto-stop handles the follow-up: If you set stop rules, Nudgen automatically stops future nudges once the customer has acted.
  • Drafts can be edited: Campaigns can be refined until they are sent or scheduled.
  • For more structure, use the onboarding checklist.
